I was born in Paphos ,Cyprus on December 1 st, 1955. I completed my secondary studies at Paphos A’ High
School with an overall score of 19 and 13/14. I served in the National Guard of Cyprus from 1973 to 1975. I
graduated by the Medical School of Athens University in 1981, after six years of studies, with an overall score
of Excellent.

I specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1984 to 1988. I finished my Ph.D at the Medical School of the
University of Athens in 1989. I worked as a Registrar and then as a Senior Registrar in the Gynecology
Department LAIKO General Hospital-University of Athens between 1990 to 2001 . “LAIKO” is a teaching
hospital. During my service at LAIKO Hospital, in addition to my current gynaecological practice, in 1993, I
organized and directed the Gynecological Ultrasound and Prenatal Control Department. From its
establishment in 1993 until 2001 at my Ultrasound and Prenatal Control Department were practiced all
types of diagnostic and invasive ultrasonographic technics for gynaecology. In cooperation with Thlassemia
Disease Prevention Center of the same hospital we performed diagnostic Amniocentesis and Chorionic Villus
Sampling.

I have participated in numerous conferences and announcements of Scientific Papers in Greek and
international congresses. I was, also, an invited speaker in numerous scientific round tables. I am a Founding
Member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG). I was given the
Horonary Diploma “Constantine Alexadropoulos” for my contribution to the achievement of the objectives
of the Greek Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, a FIGO Member, under the presidency of Professor D.
Aravantinos.

I wrote a monograph entitled "Placental Insufficiency” and wrote the Chapter “The Role of Transvaginal
Sonography in the Postmenopausal Women” in the international foreign Scientific Book “Vaginosonography
in Obstetrics and Gynaecology». I have a significant number of publications in Greek and international
scientific journals.

Since 2001 I work in “IASO” Maternity Hospital, in the Fetal – Maternal Medicine Department of the same
hospital, being certified by the Greek Health Central Counsil and the Fetal Medicin Foundation of London.
